The Capital Development Authority has issued a final show-cause notice to M/s Yar Muhammad Scheme in Bani Gala, halting all construction, marketing, plot transfers and allotments with immediate effect.
The stated ground is that the scheme was developed without an approved Layout Plan or a No Objection Certificate from the CDA. Developers have seven days to remove unauthorised structures and submit a written explanation. Failure allows the CDA to proceed ex parte, including demolition and sealing of offices, with costs recoverable from the developers.
The freeze extends beyond paper. Copies went to ICT Administration, Islamabad Police, IESCO, SNGPL, SECP and PID. Electricity and gas companies have been directed to withhold connections; PEMRA and PID have been asked to stop the scheme's advertising.
The scheme sits near former prime minister Imran Khan's residence. His property is not the subject of this notice.
Milkiyat.com finding: CDA reportedly warned this scheme between 2016 and 2025. That is nine years of recorded warnings, followed by a seven-day compliance window.
Methodology: derived from the 2016–2025 warning window as reported. The nine-year figure describes the span, not a count of notices issued.
If you hold a plot here
- Stop paying instalments until the status is resolved
- Secure allotment documents, receipts and transfer letters before offices are sealed
- Verify the scheme's status on cda.gov.pk, not with the developer
- Take legal advice before accepting any swap into another project
Milkiyat.com is not a law firm and this is not legal advice.
Developing story. We will update when the CDA publishes the notice text or the seven-day window expires.
