The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority's two day commercial plot auction in Islamabad's G-13 and G-14 sectors concludes today, 16 September 2026, following a first day that saw 15 commercial plots sold for a combined total exceeding Rs10 billion. The auction, held at Oragandi Event Complex on Service Road East in Sector E-11/4, offered plots across prime commercial locations in G-14 Markaz, G-14/2, G-14/3, and G-14/4.
What the First Day's Results Actually Show
Fifteen plots generating more than Rs10 billion works out to an average of roughly Rs667 million per plot sold on the auction's opening day, though actual individual prices would have varied considerably by specific plot size, category, and location within the offered sectors. This first day figure gives a genuine, concrete early indicator of current investor appetite for commercial land in these two sectors, rather than merely confirming the auction proceeded as scheduled.
What Buyers Are Actually Agreeing To
Successful bidders can pay an initial 25 percent of the winning bid, with the remaining balance payable in installments over a two year period, or receive a 10 percent discount by opting to pay the full outstanding amount as a lump sum instead. FGEHA has also established a dedicated Investor Facilitation Cell, supervised by the Director Staff, giving successful bidders and other investors a single, centralised point of contact for resolving issues rather than needing to approach multiple separate offices.
Why This Location Commands Investor Interest
FGEHA has highlighted that G-13 and G-14 offer direct connectivity to major road networks and the Metro Bus system, sitting approximately eight kilometres from the M-1 and M-2 motorways and around 12 kilometres from Islamabad International Airport. This connectivity profile is a central part of why these two sectors have drawn strong participation from investors, developers, and businesspeople from Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and beyond.
What Remains to Be Confirmed
Final results from the auction's second and concluding day, including the total number of plots sold across both days, the combined final revenue figure, and per-category pricing detail for specific plot sizes, had not been confirmed at the time of this report. A complete picture of investor demand and pricing across the full inventory offered will only be available once FGEHA formally releases the auction's final results.
What This Means for Islamabad's Commercial Property Market
A confirmed Rs10 billion in sales from just the first day's 15 plots offers a genuinely useful, concrete benchmark for current commercial land demand and pricing in two of Islamabad's actively developing sectors, information that tends to influence how nearby commercial land is subsequently priced and marketed once auction results become public. Investors, developers, and property professionals tracking Islamabad's commercial land values should treat the eventual full, two day results, rather than this partial first day figure alone, as the complete and more reliable indicator of where G-13 and G-14 commercial pricing genuinely stands following this auction.
