The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has launched a major enforcement drive against illegal construction, sealing 11 buildings across two housing schemes for violating building regulations.
In an operation targeting The Avenue One and Mumtaz City, the authority sealed eight residential buildings and two commercial buildings found in breach of approved building laws. The multi-storey J7 Icon building was also sealed for regulatory violations.
Officials confirmed the crackdown would continue, vowing strict and impartial action against all violators without discrimination.
The RDA urged the public to verify the legal status of housing schemes and construction projects before investing, cautioning that failure to do so could expose buyers to serious legal and financial risks.
