An official procurement notice seeks bids for water connection works in Sectors 4C, 18C, 19C, 24B and 25B of KDA Scheme 33, Gulzar-e-Hijri, Karachi. The notice was published on October 9, 2026, and the bidding deadline is November 2, 2026. The Karachi Development Authority (KDA) runs the scheme. Public procurement notices in Sindh are published by the Sindh Public Procurement Regulatory Authority.
Why This Is a Bidding Notice, Not Completed Work
The notice invites contractors to bid. It does not mean that a contractor has been chosen or that work has started. The reports we have seen do not give the estimated cost, the length of the pipelines, the completion period or the source of the water supply. We therefore cannot say how much of each sector will be covered or when residents might receive connections.
Which Sectors Are Included
The works cover Sectors 4C, 18C, 19C, 24B and 25B. The reports do not say why these sectors were chosen, whether other sectors of the scheme are served already, or how many plots are in each. We do not assume that the five sectors are the only ones that lack water.
Why Water Supply Matters for Property
Water is important for residential occupancy, the usability of property and future development. In a scheme where plots are not yet fully built on, a water connection can influence whether owners build or move in. That is a general point, and the reports do not say how many plots are currently occupied or how many are waiting for water, so we do not estimate the effect on this scheme.
What This Means for Plot Owners, Residents and Contractors
Plot owners in the five sectors should not expect connections soon, because bidding is the first step. Contractors should read the full notice for eligibility, bid security and technical requirements before November 2. The signals to watch are the bid opening, the award of the contract, the start of work and any statement on the source and capacity of the water supply.
